Organising Activities in your Community

Health Sector

Exercise is good for everybody!Physical activity studies consistently come to the same conclusion – exercise is good for everybody! Just 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise on five or more days of the week can help fend off major illnesses and many causes of premature death.

Of course exercise is more than a preventative tool. A daily half-hour workout can also help improve the lives of those with existing health conditions. Regular exercise can reduce blood pressure and LDL cholesterol levels, and help you lower the risk of:

  • heart attack;
  • stroke;
  • obesity;
  • diabetes;
  • certain types of cancer;
  • osteoporosis.
