WELSH ANGLERS LAUNCH NEW WEBSITE
3 Aug 2007
The Federation of Welsh Anglers has launched its new website www.fed-welshanglers.co.uk.
The website, designed by VSI Thinking in conjunction with the Welsh Sports Association, is intended to be an all encompassing website for angling in Wales, enabling the user access to a wide range of facts, facilities and information relating to angling in the Principality and incorporating all three angling disciplines, sea, game and coarse.
Direct links are provided to our National Governing Bodies, the Welsh Federation of Sea Anglers, the Welsh Federation of Coarse Anglers and the Welsh Salmon and Trout Angling Association, our main stakeholders, Sports Council Wales and the Environment Agency, with a link to the fishing.visitwales website, also prominently featured on the home page. Access will be provided for other fishing links in the website directory, which will, when complete, list all affiliated angling clubs and angling businesses.
The website should be fully developed by January 2008 when the Federation intends launching a membership and affiliation scheme offering a range of benefits to angling clubs joining their National Governing Bodies, opportunities for individuals to join the FWA and for businesses such as tackle dealers, tackle manufacturers, fishery owners and charter boat skippers to become affiliate members of the Federation, creating a powerful body for the representation of angling within Wales. The Federation’s motto is ‘Mewn Undeb y Mae Nerth’ which translated means strength in unity.
The Federation of Welsh Anglers is a non-profit making organisation in so much as all profits are ploughed back into the promotion and development of angling in Wales. Further information can be obtained by emailing:
