Prof Laura McAllister is from Bridgend and currently lives in Liverpool, where she is Professor of Governance at the University of Liverpool’s School of Management. Her principal areas of research are public administration and politics and she has published extensively in these areas. Laura is also a political analyst and commentator for BBC Wales, a former Welsh football international and national team captain with 24 caps, Board Member of UK Sport from 2002-2005 and is currently a Board Member and Trustee of the Football Association of Wales Trust and chair of Sport Liverpool at the University of Liverpool.
Rev Hywel Meredydd lives in Llangefni where he has been Minister at Cildwrn Chapel for the past 25 years. He is the Deputy Chair of Anglesey Local Health Board where he Chairs its Audit Committee and is a member on the Commissioning Committee and the Human Resources Committee. He has been active in his area of Anglesey as a Governor of Ysgol Corn Hir, leader of the Llangefni Urdd Club (Aelwyd), Chairman of the Llangefni Partnership, Chairman of Llangefni Town Hall Working Group, chairman of the Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales and a member of Anglesey’s Objective 1, Economic Development Partnership. He is the chairman of Menter Môn (Anglesey Enterprise) and is also the chairman of the humanitarian charity, Tearfund in Wales.
