Wales’ first lady of sport Tanni Grey Thompson will lead the nation’s most prominent Paralympic athletes in a plethora of competition as the world’s gaze falls upon the first ever Visa Paralympic World Cup in Manchester (12-15 May). Tanni Press Shot

The four-day competition features track and field athletics, swimming, cycling and wheelchair basketball, with representatives from Wales competing alongside more than 350 athletes from 49 countries.

Although a new addition to the Paralympic calendar, the inaugural event proudly boasts some of the biggest names in elite disability sport.

Hoping to secure a regular spot place in the Paralympic calendar as one of the largest multi-sport competitions for athletes with disabilities, the event provides athletes with top level competition in between Paralympic Games.
