Famous walkers

Davina McCall –The television presenter met her husband while taking her dog for walks around the local park. They have maintained the tradition and now the whole family enjoy regular walks.

John Humphrys – When he’s not presenting Mastermind, this Cardiff journalist enjoys walking: "For me, walking is about as an important an activity as there is. One day I'd like to move back to Wales, somewhere between the mountains and the coastline."

Lynn the Leap – This Olympic gold medallist is still fighting fit and, as well as working out in the gym, he loves getting out in the fresh air for a good walk

Mariella Frostrup – The television and radio presenter enjoys walking so much, she even incorporates it into her holidays; hiking in Brazil and following the Inca Trail in Peru. She recommends walking to everyone, claiming it "make space in my head and brings blood to my toes."
