The third annual Healthy Living Weekwill be held on the week beginning the 8th of October with two days of events taking place in the Senedd Building, Cardiff Bay, on the 9th and 10th of October. It is a cross party event and all 60 Assembly Members have been invited to join in and take part. It is also open to the public.

The Sports Council for Wales will have a stand at the event.

Healthy Living Week aims to promote a better lifestyle, encourage people to be active in whatever way they can, and to eat a Healthy Balanced diet, it encourages a positive change and aims to inspire people to do more.

Jeff Cuthbert AM and Chair of the All Party group on Healthy Living says "I am pleased to welcome the third Healthy Living Week. I am hoping we can build on the successes of previous years and show how even a small positive change to lifestyle can make a huge difference to personal wellbeing." The Senedd events will be an opportunity for organisations to give demonstrations and show the work that they do to make leading a Healthier Lifestyle easier.

The theme this year is inclusiveness, seeing Health as a Head to Toe issue, and encouraging all sectors of our communities to take part in Healthy Living.

Wednesday 10th October coincides with World Mental Health Day and there will be special presentations from Mental Health organisations. Throughout the week, schools and Local Authorities will be involved in the promotion of a Healthy lifestyle and school children will be encouraged to walk safely to school as a way of increasing their physical exercise levels.
