A lengthy rain delay at St Annes Old Links in England resulted in a late finish as darkness fell over Lancashire, with England's David Horsey holding onto the lead he held for most of the week. A final round of 68 for a 13 under par total of 275 gave Horsey a three shot win over Jason McCreadie of Scotland as 36 players progressed to the next phase.

With Section A and Section B now completed, a total of 198 player move forward to the second of the three-stage Qualifying School, which culminates in the final at The San Roque Club in Spain in November.

Stage Two will be played from November 7-10 across four venues in Spain, namely Arcos Gardens, Jerez’ PGA Golf de Catalunya, Girona; Golf Costa, Ballena, Cadiz and Sherry Golf, Jerez.
